my handlettering for today!

I was in the process of designing a banner at work today and then it got put on hold. But this lettering is too cute to not use. Hmmm I smell a cute thank you card in the making!

Who needs color?

So I'm at the beginning of developing some design for an organization and a part of me was ready to hand over the logo in black and white while another part of me wondered...WAIT, it's not in color! What colors do I want to use? Ah! I love it black and white...and today for fun I just started looking up black and white branding. Now, I'm hoping this organization will use a lot of photography as a huge design element since it revolves around the city (stay tuned for their reveal), so I want everything to be clean, professional, and use the colors of the city...for their color...not the branding. Hard to explain...but I found sites that display some nicely done black and white design. Hmmm...is it possible to stick to two colors and still have variety and depth? Interesting:)

Dustin rocks. I show up last night and he placed a sbux card neatly inside my door frame and then I woke up this morning to THE Craft book I've been wanting. 1,000+ points for Dustin. Thanks babe:) **he pretty much makes this the best bday ever**

sweet spaces

My lovely fiance bought me these beeeautiful crates from the antique shop for my bday. They now live in my living room as shelves (a home for our camera's and glass jars for the wedding). And today I found a flickr group totally devoted to handmade spaces. (Talk about redesigning my apt!!!)
